Wren on a Branch – Handmade Card.

This hand pressed flower card has a watercolour sketch of a wren swaying on his dried flower branch, behind him is a watercolour washed ground. All the cards are hand pressed using flowers gathered from the Smallgarden and individually painted and designed. the cards are one-of-a-kind unique art works, not prints.

A beautiful way to give unique, artisan gifts to your friends and family for any occasion, these art works will make a long lasting gift that can be mounted, framed and loved. The cards are left blank for your own special message.

Description

In the Smallgarden, every year, I press the flowers that would otherwise fade and disappear. What better way to spread their beauty than by making cards. The flowers and herbs that don’t make it into oil infusions for balms are carefully placed between blotting paper and then layered together in a book press. Some cards will have a painted or collaged background, all have been hand-painted by me on heavy-weight fine art paper making them suitable for framing.

The cards are wrapped in biodegradable cellophane and packaged in cardboard.
