Bistort Flower – Handmade card.

This hand-pressed flower card has a Bistort flower on a hand-painted collaged background. All the cards are hand-pressed using flowers gathered from the Smallgarden and are individually designed.

A beautiful way to give unique, artisan gifts to your friends and family for any occasion, these art works will make a long lasting gift that can be mounted, framed and loved. The cards are left blank for your own special message.

The cards will come packaged in biodegradable cellophane and cardboard packaging.

Description

In the Smallgarden, every year, I press the flowers that would otherwise fade and disappear. What better way to spread their beauty than by making cards for others to enjoy. The flowers and herbs that don’t make it into oil infusions or balms are carefully placed between blotting paper and then layered together in a book press. Some cards will have a painted or collaged background, and all the cards have been hand-painted by me on heavy-weight fine art paper making them suitable for framing.
