This hand pressed flower card has a wild flower, Herb-Robert collaged on a white, watercolour paper, background. There is a red paper insert hand sewn to the card. All the cards are hand pressed using flowers gathered from the Smallgarden and individually designed.

In the Smallgarden, every year, I press the flowers that would otherwise fade and disappear. What better way to spread their beauty than by making cards. The flowers and herbs that don't make it into oil infusions or balms are carefully placed between blotting paper and then layered together in a book press. Some cards will have a painted or collaged background, all have been hand-painted by me on heavy-weight fine art paper making them suitable for framing.
