Pressed Flower Greeting Card – Sow Thistle

In the Smallgarden, every year, I press the flowers that would otherwise fade and disappear. What better way to spread their beauty than by making cards. The flowers and herbs that don’t make it into oil infusions for balms are carefully placed between blotting paper and then layered together in a book press. Some cards will have a painted or collaged background, all have been hand-painted by me on heavy-weight fine art paper making them suitable for framing.
